Because of the flat funding from the borough, a stoppage
of grants from the State Library, and a decrease in gifts from private
foundations, all due to the downturn in our national and state
economies, our library is facing a very significant budget shortfall
this year.
Our revenues are down and our expenses are up. To
keep our doors open we will have to buy fewer books, DVD's, video tapes,
and audio tapes. We will have fewer programs for Adults and
Children. We may have to close on evenings and Saturdays.
We have developed a number of fundraising programs to
help alleviate this situation. We are grateful for any help you can give
