With the
arrival of blustery March days and April showers, a lot of people begin
their spring cleaning. Here at the library, it’s no different. We’re
making all kinds of changes so that we can reach you better. These are
just a few of the changes going on:
We’ve expanded our newsletter! Not only have we added sections with
staff picks and lists of new materials in our collection, but we’ve
published it on our website as well! Digital versions of our newsletter
are also being sent to patrons who have given us their email addresses.
Add dunellenlibrary@gmail.com to your contact list, and give us
your email, so that we can send you flyers about our programs, issues of
the newsletter, and more!
Recently, we started up the Adopt-A-Book program. Do you have a loved
one whom you would like to memorialize with a book on their favorite
subject? Adopting a book makes a great birthday present for kids, too!
Have a look inside this issue for more information about the
Adopt-A-Book program.
In an attempt to get more middle and high school students involved here
at the library, we have started up a few programs specially geared
towards their age groups. The Middle School Book Discussion Club is off
to a good start, and a second meeting time will be added if enough
students show interest. For any middle and high school students who are
fans of manga and anime, keep your eyes peeled for the start of the
Anime Club. Make sure you put your name down on the interest sheet at
the circulation desk!

The
first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is another. The
difference between them is sometimes as great as a month.
